Research Interests
I have four main themes of research
ICT enabling Sustainability - Member of USQ Research Centre: Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development - http://www.usq.edu.au/acsbd and in particular Energy Informatics based on following equation = Energy + information < energy (developing research grant application and looking for potential PhD students interested in researching in this emerging field of Information Systems)
I am co-supervising a PhD Student Marhaini Noor MD who is working on Rural internet centres bridging digital divide in Malaysia
Managing IT Function in organisations in particular the future role of the CIO (with PhD Student Moyasser Alyas)
Information security - currently researching Information security awareness (PhD student Robert Poepjes), software vulnerability disclosures (with Masters Student Arjun KC), Trust and Privacy concerns in social networking sites (with Masters Student Sanjib Tiwari)
Business intelligence enabling evidence based decision making in organisations in particular visualisation of data to improve decision making and interpretation of information - looking for PhD students interested in researching in this area which I think fit nicely with Energy Informatics
