Research Interests
Peter obtained his PhD in financial economics from USQ in 2003 (on full scholarship). His thesis was examined by Dr Stanford and Professor Philip Gray at UQ. His current research is focussed on defence economics, especially lone wolf terrorism, and economic methodology, especially from an Austrian perspective. He has publications in leading international defence economics journals as a result of his investigations into terrorism. In his other research areas, Peter has publications in leading Austrian economics journals and, with regards to his research into self managed superannuation, he has publications in leading Australian economics journals. Peter has a number of working papers on these topics either under review at various journals or available publicly on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) (see author homepage URL above).

Currently Teaching Courses/Programs
Peter currently teaches FIN1101 Introduction to Corporate Finance. This course runs in semester 1 and semester 3 and enrols approximately 800 students each year.
